Philippines top association leaders discuss transformation with the rise of technology

Technology is challenging the way membership-based organization work today and it plays a pivotal role in this digital transformation. However, the current pace of change is faster than ever, pushing every part of any organization to innovate and adapt to keep up. But how can associations effectively use technology while retaining and growing their member based?
All these were tackled at the Membership Growth in the Age of Information panel held yesterday Monday, May 27 at Spaces Makati. The esteemed panelist consists of Mary Faith Abaño, CPM (President,
Philippine Marketing Association); Fe Marie R. Cabantac (President, Philippine Society for Talent Development); Colin Christie (President of the Board of Trustees, Analytics Association of the Philippines); Marcel Ewals (Director, Associations & Marketing, MCI Group); Dr. Rosalina Lapitan (President, Philippine Association of Agriculturists, Inc.); Ronaldo E. Puno, RMT, MBA-H (President, Philippine Association of Medical Technologists); and Eric Schmidt (Co-Founder and CEO, EventBank).
Highlights of the discussion was the panelists take on setting up pricing and benefits, building trust in the digital era and building communities.
Another high point of the discussion is on how to encourage and motivate membership to become a digital savvy organization, when majority of the members are late adopters. Our panel gave some refreshing ideas and realistic approaches on how to set up digital transformation in member-based organizations.
